Weddings
A wedding is an exciting time, both for the couple getting married and for our churches.
If you live in the parish of one of our three churches and you have not previously been married, you are fully entitled to be married there. If you live outside the parish you would need to have a 'qualifying connection' with the church. Qualifying connections include: you were baptized in the parish; you or your parents (in your lifetime) lived in the parish or habitually worshipped in the parish for at least 6 months; or your parents or grandparents were married in the parish. If one of you has been married before it is still possible to be married in church. The important thing is to speak to the Vicar at the earliest possible date.
