United Benefice of Sutton with Cowling & Lothersdale

Welcome to our website for the United Benefice of Sutton, Cowling & Lothersdale: three churches located in a beautiful corner of North Yorkshire.

We believe that every person is unique, valued and loved; whoever and whatever they are.   We believe in being thoroughly inclusive of all people and being a welcoming church that meets people where they are.  Our churches exist to serve the whole community and beyond and to help people discover and experience what it means when it says in the bible that ‘God is love’.
Across our three churches we offer a range of services and worship styles ranging from the more traditional communion services to informal café church. Whether you live in the area or are just visiting we will do our best to provide a warm welcome at each of our churches, where we hope you will find a home with us and become part of our Christian community.
